My Blog Spot

I wanted to use this first blog post to put a few thoughts into words. This blog is not a place for hate or distasteful comments. We all make decisions and have free will. Sometimes, hasty choices are made without careful consideration. When we make mistakes, it can be easy to look for someone to blame. However, it's important to reflect on our actions and understand the consequences of our decisions.

Matthew 9:12-13 12 But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (ESV)

God did not intend his creation to die to sin. As the world grew darker and began to grow deeper in sin, Jesus was sent to remind us that we are not alone. If sin did not exist in each of us, there would be no need for a Savior. We are all sinners. Jesus offers new life to sinners. The world would want us to think that there are those that appear to live sin free. This is not so. We are all in need of a Savior.

As we seek forgiveness from the Savior, we can let go and give Jesus the opportunity to work within. Make talking with Jesus a part of your daily life, He is always available to you.

Through prayer and reflection, we open the door to a profound relationship with the Savior, one that illuminates our path even in the darkest moments. Jesus calls us not only to receive His grace but also to share it with others. When we extend kindness, forgiveness, and love to those around us, we embody His teachings and become vessels of His light.

Life may present trials that test our faith, but Jesus assures us that in Him, we find strength to endure and overcome. When we anchor our hearts in His truth, fears subside, and hope flourishes. Trust in His promises, for His love is steadfast and His mercy boundless.

Let us not forget the beauty of surrendering our burdens to Jesus. In doing so, we experience the freeing power of His grace, which transforms our weaknesses into testimonies of His power. Each day is an invitation to draw closer to Him, to embrace the peace that surpasses understanding, and to walk boldly in the assurance of His salvation.

Who is like the Lord our God?

1. Praise the Lord!

Praise, O Servants of the Lord,

praise the name of the Lord!

2. Blessed be the name of the Lord

from this time forth and forevermore

 3. From the rising of the sun to its setting,

the name of the Lord is to be praised (ESV)

These verses are a call to worship! The repetition of the word "worship" emphasizes the importance of worshipping God! There are no limits to the praise that God is worthy of. There can only be joy in worshipping God for all that He does in our life. This is a call to ALL people, throughout the world, to worship at all times!

Psalm 115:1-8

1 Not to us, Lord, not to us

but to your name be the glory,

because of your love and faithfulness,

2 Why do the nations say

Where is their God?

3 Our God is in Heaven

He does whatever pleases Him

4 But their idols are silver and gold,

made by human hands,

5 They have hands, but cannot speak

eyes, but cannot see

6 They have ears, but cannot hear

noses, but cannot smell,

7 They have hands, but cannot feel,

feet, but cannot walk,

nor can they utter a sound with their throats

8 Those who make them will be like them

and so will all who trust in them

This verse highlights how foolish the idol worship is and the superiority of the one true God. Reminds believers to trust in the living God and not the handmade images that this world offers. The living God IS active, sovereign and more than worthy of all our praise.

My prayer is that we all focus on the one true God and leave the false images of this world behind. God offers love and understanding to all those who call upon the name of the Lord!
